location & Map
Location:
Swans Hotel and Brewery was first established in 1913 as a granary owned by The Scott & Peden Company. You can still see evidence of the granary in the tall ceilings of the downstairs brewery, designed to allow for deliveries by train. The building was converted to a hotel in the 1980s.
The reception and celebration will be held in the hotel’s penthouse, originally the living quarters of the hotel owner, with the ceremony – weather permitting – taking place on the roof overlooking Victoria’s beautiful inner harbour.
Hotel reservations:
The hotel has provided a special rate for guests. This rate is valid any time between September 4th and September 11th. We spent a lot of time thinking about a good and really creative discount code, and came up with marcyjp2024. Not bad!
While hotel management has agreed to forego the special secret handshake needed to use this rate, staff will not be able to access your discount without this code so please come prepared.
To book at Swans:
By website: https://swanshotel.com/ and use the code in the appropriately names “promo code” section
By email: info@swanshotel.com
By phone: call 250-361-3310 choose option 4 and mention the code
Where to get beer:
It’s no coincidence that this illustrious event is taking place where it is. Marcy and JP both really enjoy beer. Swans is not the only brewery in the neighbourhood. If you’re interested, these craft breweries are conveniently located within walking distance of the hotel:
Or you could try one of the incredible local taprooms, also within walking distance, that offer a selection of even more craft beers from British Columbia and the rest of the Pacific Northwest:
We’re particular fans of The Drake, and if you spot Old Rasputin, by North Coast Brewing, on tap anywhere, you’ve got to give it a try. Marcy recommends the hazy IPAs made by Superflux and Swift, as well.
